Blitstein Institute offers a full array of courses in the Liberal Arts and Sciences to fulfill the general education component required for the baccalaureate degree. Core courses, as well as a multitude of electives, are taught by highly credentialed professors. In addition, students may pursue a second major in Business, Computer and Information Sciences, Education (including Elementary and Special Education), English and Psychology. The focus of the LAS program is the development of skills in communication and expression, reasoning, research and inquiry, providing students with a broad base of general knowledge enabling them to function adeptly in a sophisticated and complicated world. At the same time, the LAS core provides pre-professional education and training. Graduates of TI have successfully pursued graduate studies in the most prestigious universities in Illinois and elsewhere.
Those students who choose Speech and Language Pathology and Communication Disorders as a career are offered all of the pre-requisites needed to continue at the finest graduate schools. Those courses are designed to meet the standards of the ASHA -approved graduate programs. VarsityBooks is our official online bookstore and will list and sell both new and used textbooks and other learning materials students need for class. VarsityBooks provides parents and students a convenient, user-friendly shopping experience at our dedicated online bookstore. The program was designed to streamline textbook operations for schools and make book buying as easy and enjoyable as possible for students. |
