Guidance, Counseling and Testing
A counselor helps each student recognize his potential and develop realistic and meaningful goals. He meets with every student during the school year in both individual and small group settings. The counseling program seeks to help each student to mature mentally, emotionally, and socially, and to formulate healthy attitudes and behavior patterns.
The guidance service administers the general testing program for the school as well as the various college acceptance and scholarship competition tests, including the PSAT, SAT, ACT. Pre-college planning and vocational guidance programs are also featured. Yeshiva high school students have won a larger number of scholarships in proportion to its population than most of the other schools in the area.
