Admissions
Admission to undergraduate programs of the Blitstein Institute is limited to students who have graduated from an accredited high school with a GPA of no less than 2.5/4.0, the completion of a secondary Jewish Day School curriculum or equivalent, and satisifactory scores on the SAT or ACT.  In addition, applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, a satisfactory personal interview with a member of the Admissions Committee, submission of a completed Application for Admission accompanied by the required fee.  Upon receipt of all supporting documents, including high school transcripts, the application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

Admission to the the undergraduate degree program does not guarantee acceptance into a specific program of study, such as Education. 

Students for whom English is not a first language may be required to take the TOEFL examination to ensure their ability to participate fully in coursework.

Students who fail to meet any of the pre-requisites for admission, such as completion of a secondary Jewish Day School curriculum or equivalent may be required to take a series of assessment exams and/or remedial coursework prior to matriculation.  Applicants who wish to enroll in a specific course or program of study (e.g. Teacher Certification Program) for academic credit, but are not pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree through Hebrew Theological College may seek admission to the Extension Division
